Day #89: The Cheesecake Factory

 Picked up my brother at the airport in Seattle. Then we stopped by the Cheesecake Factory to eat. I got the red velvet cake cheesecake. It was possibly the most superb thing of my life. It took me like five days to finish.

Day #87: Errands With Andrea

I ran a bunch of errands with my sister today.  One of which included going to a natural food market. And by the goat cheeses they have a few little goats. I thought it was adorable. As well as highly entertaining while browsing cheeses.

Day #71: Eight Bucks Worth of Goldfish

Emma and I bought this huge box of goldfish at the Creamery for 8 bucks together. We went between wondering if we could finish it in four days to worrying if it would last four days a few times. It became a lovely inside joke and definite future tradition.

Day #70: Captain Crunch

It soon became evident that waking up for breakfast and walking to the Cannon Center for it in the morning was completely out of the question. So I began joining waking up later with my roomate, Emma, and other friend, Abbey, and eating cereal or other breakfast foods bought prior to that morning on the walk over to the HFAC.

Day #58: Coming Home

It was finally sunny on the day we were coming home. Of course hahha. Ten hours home. On the way back we stopped at the Tillamook factory and I got some of this awesome sweet pineapple mustard for my family and my friend got fudge. It was a grand old time.

Day #57: Last Day in Oregon

July 12, 2011

Last full day in Oregon and it was rainy and poopy almost all day. The sun was out for a little bit and we went down to the beach. We got delicious fudge and Thai food which annoying people in the restaurant. Funny story, though: So there's this big group in the Thai restaurant and it's mostly girls and one guy. We're sitting and eating all pissy because they're annoying and we hear a gay guy's voice and we're kinda like, oh, that makes sense, a bunch of girls and their gay friend. We all get up to pay at the same time and it turns out that the gay guy voice is actually a butch girl. It was kind of hilarious.

Day #55: Kitty

First day in Oregon. We drove for like 10 hours. Oh my goodness. First thing we did was walk the beach. Then we walked to this adorable local pizza shop that everyone writes on the walls of. On the way back to the hotel we saw this cat and decided that she would be ours then proceeded to pet her for the next 15 minutes. She was a lovely cat, and I miss her dearly.

Day #49: Benadryl

July 4, 2011

For the Fourth of July we got KFC (I made a salad to bring since I don't fancy meat) and went to a park with the whole family and ate then hiked a little bit, then played pooh sticks at the bridge. Well, we went later in the day so that it wouldn't be as crowded and there are tall trees around which create a lot of shade. So the mosquitoes where out.  And I am crazy allergic to them. One bit me on the back of my arm and it swelled to this huge hive like normal, and my sister had Benadryl in her purse because my nephew has really bad allergies and asked if I wanted some. So I said yes, even though it was kids and cherry flavor (which actually was awesome). It worked like a charm, but made me super sleepy. When we got home I actually napped for a half an hour which is huge because I still couldn't sleep at all from my antidepressants. 

Also, I put bandaids on my bug bites..I always have, and I didn't know it was unusual until, like, last year.

Day #43: Chocolate

Today I had sushi with my friends for lunch then went out adventuring and gathering job applications, but I didn't get any pictures of any of that. So I'll talk about chocolate. A few weeks ago my mom was talking about this book she read a long time ago that had research that answered the question why women need chocolate. It has the right amount of sugar and fat to increase your mood and relax you or something along those lines. It's just that most women go over board and eat too much hahha. You only need about two Hershey's kisses worth during that 3 o'clock slump. So I asked my mom if I promised to only eat that much if she would buy me a Lindt chocolate (which is the best) supply. And she did! I'm getting to the end of my stash, though..

Day #39: Hippies

My sister needed errands ran, and I needed driving hours {even though I'm already 16} so away we went a-venturing! Adventures with my sister are always the best. She wanted to go to the food co-op and I was excited, I really love that place. And it's a little far, so the drive was a good time. We got there and felt like the coolest kids getting organic and local food. Then we were comparing prices on honey, which was on the bottom few shelves. So we sat on the floor to find the best one, since it would take a bit of effort. In the words of my favorite movie, Up, "Take a bath, hippie!"

We felt like true Northwest Washingtoners.

Day #21: Cake

 So, this kid gave my friend a giant cake for his birthday. Which was in March or something. And we were all eating lunch outside since the sun was shining. So we got a bajillion forks from the cafeteria and devoured it shamelessly. 

This is my theory of cake: 

So, my theory {which has pretty much been proven true on many accounts} is that cake and soup can cure any sadness. Any sadness that cake cannot cure soup can cure and vice versa. Break up sadness: cake. Plans ruined by bad weather sadness: soup. Dead pet sadness: soup. Left out of weekend plans: cake. Therefore, cake and soup are magical items of consumption.

Day #18: Fransisco

A much needed girls night which consisted of each of us telling our absolutely biggest secrets. It was grand. I haven't had a conversation with anyone that truly meant anything in months. I have people who understand me. I have friends. During the night amid secrets, card games about marriage, and junk food a gummy bear was dropped on the frame of my bed and landed perfectly comically. I named him Fransisco because I name almost everything Fransisco because of the movie Elf:) He was a great reminder of even through the seriousness and sadness of the night what a good thing it all was.

Day #15: On The Go

Every time I go to see my therapist I have to travel like 45 minutes and be picked up from school early. But I love car rides and not being in school, so I am not complaining. After my appointment I asked my mom if we could get food since I hadn't eaten since lunch and she suggested Krispy Kreme because the closest one to us was in that city. I suggested something more foody and asked if she knew where a Haggens was because I love sushi, and I love Haggenese, but had never had Haggen sushi. She responded by saying, "Yeah, there's one by Krispy Kreme." Perfect! Sushi and doughnuts! Plus I hadn't been to Krispy Kreme in years. Also, I got an Odwalla drink, because I've tried Naked Fruit and really liked it and all Haggens had was Odwalla. I like Naked better. Next perfect thing: I love Oreos and they had an Oreo cream doughnut. How lovely!

Day #14: Lilo and Stitch

This day consisted of a hair cut {only an inch, but all the dead ends are gone}, friend cake, Lilo and Stitch, burgers grilled by my dad, and Yahtzee. Any day that includes cake and Lilo and Stitch is a good day.
